John 6:66-68

⁶⁶ After Jesus said this, many of his ·followers [disciples] ·left him [^Lturned back to previous things] and ·stopped following [^Lno longer walked with] him.

⁶⁷ Jesus asked ·the twelve followers [the Twelve], “Do you want to leave, too?”

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, “Lord [or Master], who would we go to? You have the words that give eternal life.
